Matrix
Microsoft and Linux Servers
Our Windows servers are the latest Microsoft 2003 IIS6 servers with
full support for ASP, Perl, CGI, PHP, ISAPI and SHTML scripting. Additionally,
if you opt for our Professional Hosting package, you also get full
and unrestricted support for the .NET Framework. Meanwhile, our Linux
Apache servers have the latest version of Redhat, with Apache web-server
and support for Perl and PHP scripting. Full telnet access is also
provided. Sites hosted on our Matrix server are housed on a single
server, and are not load balanced.
Enterprise Microsoft and Linux Servers
All the features of our standard Matrix servers, but your web site
is hosted on multiple high performance web servers, ensuring that
no single failure can take you off line. In addition, requests to
your web site are evenly distributed or load balanced across the servers
maximising the performance and availability of your site. All Enterprise
servers have advanced server specifications and are less densely populated,
ensuring optimum performance.
Advanced URL Security
You can password protect specific areas of your web site to restrict
who has access. User authentication can come from a text file or out
of a database.
Microsoft Media Streaming
Lets you add live web casts, or streaming audio and video to your
site to provide added interest and information.
Microsoft SQL Server 2002 Databases
You can create MSSQL Server databases on your account and have full
control of them via the Microsoft Enterprise Manager or ODBC.
MySQL Databases
MySQL is the open-source standard for databases, and is ideal for
web applications based on our Linux Servers.
ODBC Databases
Windows domains can use any ODBC compliant database such as Microsoft
Access or Microsoft Excel.
SMS Alerts
Enables you to receive a text message on your mobile phone informing
you every time you receive an email. You could configure the system
only to send you SMS alerts about e-mails from a certain person or
with a certain word in the subject.
SPAM Filtering
Spam filtering removes unsolicited e-mails. You can control the sensitivity
of the filtering used, and decide what action should be taken when
Spam e-mail arrives.
SSL
Allows secure transactions between your web site and your customers.
Sub Domains
By creating sub domains you effectively get multiple web sites from
a single domain. For example you could have support.mydomain.co.uk,
and shop.mydomain.co.uk, in addition to the standard http://www.mydomain.co.uk/.

a sub domain.
Virus Scanning For Email
Allows you to set up automatic email virus scanning on all email sent
to your domain name. Incoming emails are scanned before they reach
your inbox. The Virus Scanning technology is provided by McAfee.
WebTraffic Live Stats
Our own web-based statistics service has been developed to allow you
to view both real-time and historical information about the visitors
to your web site. You can find out which pages are being looking at
the most, search keywords used, and much more. |
